The superstructure mainly comprising the masonry Parapets was inspected from within touching distance in accordance with the HA Departmental Standard BD 63/17 and the Association of Directors of Environment, Economy, Planning, and Transport: or ADEPT [formerly the County Surveyors Society (CSS)] Inspection Process as described in “The Inspection Manual for Highway Structures”.
The purpose of the dilapidation survey/ repair option review is to determine the nature and extent of defects that might impact the durability, global structural integrity, and serviceability of the parapets.
